32 lbs later 8lb to go


In the home stretch

Ok I know I know, its been awhile since I have posted, A LOT of has been going on in my world. Recently Ive spent time in Santa Rosa CA at Tattoos and Blues, stopped over for a good visit with my man camping bro Justin. Currenlty working on getting my yard ready for grass seeding, finishing the railing for the deck, build a dog run, redo kitchen cabinets and the fireplace. On top of all that we are going through every last thing in the house and shed to drop dead weight and useless crap we dont need anymore. Plenty of camping trips and weekend trips planned out for the summer cant wait for those. So its going to be a busy spring and summer for me. I have broken the 230 barrier finally, currently weighing 228. I am happy even after 2 months of not playing by the rules I had set for myself, that I did not gain weight back, I just stayed the course. Now I am back to working out regularly and eating the way I was when I started and just shed the weight. I should hit goal weight by the 28th, I am pushing hard for sooner, hit the gym 3 days this week, LOTS OF CARDIO

So I weighed in at 226.6 last week... how freaking awesome is that? Pretty fucking awesome... anyhow, I am close to my goal... but I think 22o wont be enough... 200 sounds perfect

Hell yea

Weighed in today at 230.6!!! 10.4 more to go till I hit my goal!!! Started using the YMCA to workout FINALLY... went Thursday and today. Been doing about 30 minutes on the treadmill, 15 minutes on the exercise bike and then lift for 10 or 15 minutes... cant wait to drop this last 10 and then set a new goal of getting down to 200 pounds...

Getting better

So my late night snacking has come back in the last month, I think I am finally getting it back under control again. I have been working out consistently this week. Finally start feeling healthy again and my back seizes up today... fun stuff, should be ok by tomorrow.

Saturday I am taking the family to go tubing again. Last time we had a blast and it sure does burn a lot of calories walking back up the hillside.

I am going to post updated pictures either today or tomorrow.

Ok enough already

Ok I have slipped and let my mental guards down long enough.

I will not eat after 8pm. I will not allow myself to think its ok, its just one grahm cracker, cause that leads to a whole pack and a string cheese or two, then a 330 wake up and eat session. No I have already lost 25lbs and I refuse to put it back or not hit my goal weight.

Today I started working out again using Xbox Kinect and your shape fitness evolved. I also am going to start going to the YMCA that I am a member of and swimming, eliptical and shoot hoops, I always did like basketball, well playing it, not watching it. Anyhow, its time to drop these last 15lbs and then see if I can drop another 15 or 20. My goal right now is 220 from 260. But 210 or 200 doesnt sound so bad either.

Not doing well

Well Ive fallen back into some of my old habits and I have been eating after 8pm AND waking up and eating in the middle of the night. So I need to retrain/refrain myself from these bad bad habits AGAIN... it was so hard the first time, but I know it is the only way to achieve my goals and be a healthier happier me... I have noticed the more I eat and the less I exercise that I am also falling back into my unhappier self. Back when I started and was eating way better and exercising a lot I was more upbeat and happier in general. I liked it and need to get back to that.
I have also let this blog slide, I think that all of this started when I stopped writing about my progress, like a mental block where if I could skip this then I could just cheat or skip on other things... I am a little dissapointed in myself right now, but at least I havent lost any ground and put 5lbs or more back on... I have been hovering at 235 for almost a month...

Gonna start going to the YMCA early in the morning since they will watch the boys for 90 minutes. I figure 30 minutes in the pool and 30 minutes on an eliptical...

Back on track and exercising again

So the holidays did a little number on my eating, I gained 3 pounds from Thanksgiving to Xmas. I was also sick for about 3 weeks, still not 100% better but enough so that I can function, clean house and exercise again.

I just picked up Your Shape Fitness Evolved for the xbox 360 Kinect and it is really really awesome. I will probably be using this more then the EA Sports Active 2.0 simply because it is lower impact. The plan at this stage is to use the Your Shape everyday and then do the EA active 3 days a week on low impact and see how my body responds. My knee and hip issues make it harder for me to workout as often as I would like.

The one thing I wished that would come of all this weight loss and exercising is that my left leg from my hip down would stop bothering me. Both my hip and my knee hurt pretty much everyday, I have been seeing doctors for 20 years about this and they cant figure out what is wrong, I have had xrays, been to physical therapy and nothing really seems to help. Tempory relief is nice, but I would like to live w/o so much pain. I dont like taking pills to relieve pain either... Who needs to get addicted.
