Sick
Well I have been sick for almost 2 weeks now, only positive is I have lost about 6 pounds since it started. I just want to be healthy and get back to normal so I can smell/taste my food and work out again. I have no energy no desire to do anything but sit and sit...

I hate being sick
I absolutly hate being sick... I just get back into working out late last week and now I get sick, and its not just a cold... my voice is half gone and I am coughing up some nice stuff... hopefully I will feel better tomorrow so I can get my workout in... the only good part of being pretty sick is I am not hungry at all... I have forced myself to eat a couple things today but I have no desire for food today, even when I have hunger growls...
My belly is getting small, feels smaller when I am laying down, standing up and when I feel it... I am happy with the results I have seen since I started the change... cant wait till the end

worked out again today, skipped yesterdays. But the program had me projected at 251 calories burned and I burned 378 in 30 minutes. I can see my belly getting smaller and feel my hip bones... Im so stoked... I might shit myself when I break 240, it has been at least 6 years since I have been under 250 let alone 240... gonna be awesome... 220 is GOING TO BE THE SHIT!!!

Hello blog how are you? Well after taking about a week and a half off from exercising because of a jacked up knee, I worked out today. I have decided to change the settings on the EA Sports Active to low impact. I can handle this a lot better, it still effects my knee but the pain is less... oh and I am down to 244.5 lbs

MY KNEE
Well my left knee is a little jacked up from starting my exercise program again. If any of you have known me for awhile you know that I have always struggled with knee pain. This will pass, just sucks cause I will not be able to do my 3rd workout part of the 9 week plan. I will, how ever, do my push ups and sit ups today, those wont bother my knee. I should probably do some stretching too...

Day 2 exercise in 9 week program
Today totally kicked my ass, I was projected at burning 265 calories only ended up burning 240, but the damn game has a hard time picking up my body on a couple exercises, I think it has more to do with my positioning then the camera, but I have read that the game does have that issue... but oh well... I am happy with it...

So 2 days later I am still sore in the thighs from my 1st EA Sports Active workout... I have to workout today that should be fun... I stuck at 251lbs for two weeks now... frustrating

EA Sports Active 2.0
Well it finally came out today and aside from the girl at Gamestop giving me the Wii version and me having to go back to the store to trade it in, I LOVE IT... This version starts much harder then EA Active on Wii. My thighs are on fire. The program starts with setting up your character and picking your coach and the intesity of your 9 week program and days you will be working out per week. I chose 4 days a week on medium intesity. The exercises are way more varied then the previous version. My only complaint so far is so far it or I am having a hard time getting the game to reckongnize me on the bent over rows... but I will perfect that as time goes on.
I am so glad to be working out again. This will get me back on the path of seeing results and being more active, couple this with playing other XBOX 360 Kinect games burning more calories there as long as I stick to eating only 2000 calories a day I should drop this weight and inches that much faster!!!

rough week but some positives
So I had a pretty rough week concerning over eating... I stayed close or under calories everyday, BUT I did a lot of late night eating, like late, 8pm to 1am eating at different times... This is my biggest down fall and has been for years... I need a hobby in the evenings to distract my brain... I need to stick to my guns and just tell my brain I AM NOT HUNGRY I DO NOT NEED TO TASTE ANYTHING... its definetly hard
On another note.. I have been playing my new Kinect for the xbox pretty much everyday... I have to say Dance Central is fucking awesome... Kinect Adventures really gets your heart rate going on quite a few of the games... cant wait for ea active 2.0 on Tuesday. I have stopped using the Wii version waiting for the xbox one to come out and I think that has had a lot to do with my over eating lately, for some reason I eat less when I am working out consistanly... I need to follow that trend.
My coach wants me to start doing push ups and sit ups everyday and pull ups once or twice a week, really he wants me to do pull ups everyday, but I am supposed to do as many of these as I can a day like 20 or more, then build up and keep track of how many I am doing... so that starts tomorrow!!!

just did 35 minutes and burned 280 calories on EA active. Todays exercises consisted of side lunges with toe touches, a mix of shoulder presses and lateral kick backs with the resistence band, lunge kick ups, running, a little volleyball sets and some tennis forehand and backhands... I really do enjoy this program and just discovered it also has preset workouts so once I am done with the 30 challenge I can just roll myself into those other exercise programs listed... CANT WAIT

Just got done with my second workout of the day... Only did it on medium this time and IT MADE ME DO SQUAT HOLDS AGAIN... oh but for only 40 seconds each instead on 1 minute... BAH I had to cheat on the second set... anyhow I burned 227 Calories in 22 minutes.
So far today I have eaten 562 calories and burned off 636 Calories, SOooo I have worked more off then I have eaten at this point in the day, dinner still to come, but I just thought I would comment on that. I think its awesome...

GO SEAHAWKS... what an interesting game yesterday, we won but it wasnt pretty. I ate some bad foods while there and had 5 beers but only went over my calories a little... got in about an hour of walking too... Back on the EA active today and I really need to hit this diet harder and be more controlled on it... I really want to show improvement by a MCS's wedding in early Nov.

today so far I have done about an hour and ten minutes on my Wii fit doing the step aerobics, I listed it as less time on loseit.com cause I dont think I burned the calories it says I did... so I said it burned less just to play it safe, I also mowed the lawn and that took 40 minutes and burned at least 363, I say at least cause I am guessing that loseit.com factors that based on a flat yard... which mine isnt... I still have at least 1 to 2 hours of house work today so more calorie burning to come today!!!

So today the weather pissed me off, only got to sand the wood for Koens bunk beds for about 2 hours... so much more to go... Monday for that... but I have consumed 785 Calories so far today and I have burned off 723 with my combined exercise today...
I figure as long as I stay under the calories I am allowed to eat a day, NOT COUNTING calories burned, I am golded regardless.

Well today I woke up super sore, but I just finished my EA active work out on high impact, 34 minutes and 298 calories... Off to go sand the wood for Koen and Parkers bunk bed...

So as I stated yesterday EA active did want me to take a rest and wouldnt let me exercise as part of my program, I could have done custom workouts, but I felt like it would know and get mad at me... So instead I busted out the Wii Fit game and did some step aerobics, rythym boxing, running, hulu hooping and a couple other thing, oh yea, balance games... those suck...
Today EA active let me work out, I did 29 minutes and burned 283 calories. The program has me doing about 17 different exercises that workout different sections of the body. Todays, included a lot of running, high knees, kick ups, jump lunges, side lunges, bicept curls, 2 other types of resistance band curl things, more lunges, more jump lunges, squats... it repeats a handfull of these in a days workout. Other exercises it has had me do on other days, it tennis, forehand, backhand and net play, in-line skating where you lift alernating legs to dodge hail bails, another version has you squat jumping off jumps... I wonder if I have run into all the different exercises, I hope there are a few that it hasnt unvieled yet as my body might not be ready to attempt them... the game seems that smart...
I have had a banana for breakfast, apple cinnamon oatmeal and 3/4 of a nectarine for lunch, drinking water, I have kicked the Vitamin Water habit over calories... those things only have like 125 calories, but it seems a waste of intake when I can just drink water... I think that last statement will make Scott proud lol

Starting today off really well... had my usual banana for breakfast and my usual 2 eggs and 2 pcs of bacon and 3/4 cup of strawberries for lunch... have one snack before dinner and then I am going to man up and cry myself to sleep tonight with hunger pains... waaaaa...
I have officially cut bread out, significantly reducing pasta intake, and thinking of giving up cheese entirely so many calories in that shit... well I wont give up feta and blue cheese in my salads, I will just consume less.
Its a rest for exercise so says the EA active 30 day program I am doing, but I dont care what it says, I am using it today... High impact

I fit in a second workout today... 16 minutes and 138 calories, I also burned 243 calories cleaning house... I figure I do at least 200 stairs a day walking from my basement to the upstairs... I do that a lot... since I live in my man cave... if it only had a pisser and a shower... lol.
I feel really good about the shift in my diet and actually doing the exercise. I need to keep my enthusiasm up and strong. Luckily I have a coach/mentor whatever you want to call it. But he will keep me on the right path and motivated to see this to the end. I have seen his results and I can argue. I think I have never really given weight lose this much effort is because I didnt make the mental switch and I didnt have someone rooting me on, my wife supports me and all that but she has so much on her plate its hard for her to give me the motivation daily. Nothing against her. Also having kids makes me realize its not ok to be overweight, lazy and over eat. I need to set the example and show my kids the right way to eat, to be, and to grow from boys to men.

Another workout down
I just did 33 minutes on EA active for the Wii... burned 263 calories... I tell you what that thing gives you a good workout for an overweight guy... its low impact enough but intense enough that you really feel the burn and the sweat starts coming down... I will keep using this tool and watch the fat roll off... Wednesdays will be swimming at the pool with Koen while Parker plays in the play area and Lindsay goes and works out. I am also getting us another Wii balance board and the stuff for EA active so Lindsay and I can start working out together at home... Bonding time lol

Well not much to report today... built some dressers from IKEA this weekend and moved a lot of furniture around and then Sunday I did about 25 minutes on the EA Active... Kinda had a bad day yesterday with eating, I need to get mentally tougher... Doing some EA Active later today

WOW
I just did 25 minutes and burned 218 calories on EA active for the Wii... if anyone is looking to get a good work out at home I highly recommend this... I also recommend getting the Wii balance board as EA active utilizes the board... I have had the EA active since it came out over a year ago and this is the first time I used it... wish I wouldnt have waited so long... I was sweating my ass off

Wii Fit
So I busted out the Wii fit today, did about 15 minutes step aerobics and 25 minutes doing yoga... my thigh muscles are a little sore... I was suprised 25 minutes of yoga only burned 76 calories based on loseit.com.
Onto loseit.com, I am using this app on my iphone and the website, basically I told it I wanted to lose 2lbs a day and that my ideal weight is 220 and I weigh 260 at the start. The site then tells you how many calories a day you can take in and when you will meet your goal weight. I am allowed 2028 calories a day and if I stick to that I should be at 220 by Febuary 21st 2011... and that is if I just take in less calories... I also plan on exercising everyday be it house cleaning, Wii Fit or some sort of project around the house. Tomorrow I have to sand all the wood for Koen and Parkers bunk bed... that should take most of the day and burn a lot of calories...
I have so far taken in less calories allowed this week, I have only been on the program for 4 days. I went over last night. But overall I am under, so I feel good about that.

Back on the horse
So I havent posted in a really long time... I hit some roadblocks... which by that I mean myself... anyhow I am back to lose this weight and be happier... I have started eating only 2000 calories a day, and by Feb 21st 2011 I should lose 40lbs...
